Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published elsewhere or under consideration by another journal.
  • The text adheres to the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format with size A4 in normal layout margin, 1 inch from each side, and page numbers on the top right corner.
  • The text is single-spaced, justify distributed, and with first-line indentation of 0.5 inches.
  • Figures and Tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. All Figures and Tables must be quoted in the context. High-resolution figures may be further requested for publication.
  • The manuscript must be prepared for a double-blinded reviewing process: (i) the separated file of the title page, containing the authors' information, and (ii) the main text, without any details of the authors.
  • Acknowledgment, funding source, and conflict of interest must be declared on the title page (none or explanation in detail).

Author guideline for manuscript preparation

  1. Title page

            Please prepare the title page as a separated file with contents as follows.

  • Title
  • Short running title
  • Names/surnames and institutes of authors
  • Corresponding author (name/surname, institute, contact number, and email)
  • Ethic approval (committee and COE number)
  • Acknowledgement, funding source, and conflict of interest (if any)
  1. Full-text manuscript

2.1 Original article (including systematic review & meta-analysis)

            Research article should not exceed 20 pages of size A4, not including the title page and references, with contents following these orders.

  • Title
  • Abstract no more than 300 words containing subheadings: objective, materials and methods, results, and conclusion. For Thai manuscript, please prepare both Thai abstract and English abstract. For English manuscript, only English abstract is prepared.
  • Keywords 3-5 words
  • Introduction
  • Materials and methods please specify ethic approval committee and COE number in the first paragraph
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References according to Vancouver style (https://www.nlm.nih.gov/bsd/uniform_requirements.html) For reference list, please run the numbers following the orders of in-text citation. For example, Taweewattanapaisan P, Jantarat J, Ounjai P, Janebodin K. The Effects of EDTA on Blood Clot in Regenerative Endodontic Procedures. J Endod. 2019; 45: 281-6. The citation in the main-text must be presented in Arabic number in a bracket, e.g. (1).
  • Figures and Tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points next to the paragraph that refers to that figure or table, rather than at the end. All Figures and Tables must be quoted in the context such as (Table 1) or (Fig. 1). For the table, heading and footnote (if any) are required. For the figure, a quality image in JPEG/TIFF format is preferred. After acceptance, a high-resolution figure may be further requested for publication.

2.2 Review article 

      Review article should not exceed 20 pages of size A4, not including the title page and references, with contents following these orders.

  • Title
  • Abstract no more than 300 words without subheading, which presents the objective and main contents of the review
  • Keywords) 3-5 words
  • Introduction
  • Review contents with appropriate headings and subheadings  
  • Conclusion
  • References (please follow the reference guideline in the original article section)
  • Figures and Tables (please follow the guideline in the original article section)

2.3 Case reports/case series including clinical techniques 

      Review article should not exceed 10 pages of size A4, not including the title page and references, with contents following these orders.

  • Title
  • Abstract no more than 300 words without subheading, which presents the objective and main contents of the case reports/case series or the clinical techniques
  • Keywords) 3-5 words
  • Introduction
  • Review contents with appropriate headings and subheadings (if applicable)
  • Conclusion
  • References (please follow the reference guideline in the original article section)
  • Figures and Tables (please follow the guideline in the original article section)
